The Band Perry cancelled their concert in Shelbyville, Del., on July 3 after two men allegedly made alarming statements to employees at the Americana Bayside Welcome Center. The cancellation came less than a month after former Voice contestant Christina Grimmie was killed by a crazed fan during an autograph signing in Orlando.
Police announced today (July 5) that Dzmitry N. Papou, 35, of Shelbyville, had turned himself in on July 4 and was charged with a felony count of terroristic threatening. He was released on a $20,000 bond and issued a no-contact order with the Welcome Center. Police have identified the second man, but no arrest has been made yet.
The sold-out concert was expected to draw approximately 2,400 fans before the Perry siblings issued a post on their Instagram account to let fans know the show was cancelled and rescheduled for Aug. 17.
